Welcome to the APS Department of Federal Programs

Mission statement: Our goal is to support the APS 2020 strategic plan by allocating and monitoring federal resources throughout Aurora Public Schools.

The Department of Federal Programs, under the Division of Finance, is responsible for maintaining compliance with No Child Left Behind (NCLB) and newly authorized Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Our department works with district staff and school staff to ensure federal funds are allocated appropriately.

Notice of Every Student Succeeds Act Aurora Public Schools District Plan

Notice is hereby given that the proposed Aurora Public Schools District Plan is posted for comment for 30 days, beginning June 15, 2017 and ending July 17, 2017.  Comments can be submitted to federalprograms@aps.k12.co.us.

The plan has been presented to the District Accountability Advisory Committee and was presented to the Board of Education on June 6, 2017.

The proposed plan will be submitted to the Colorado Department of Education for review and approval for the 2017-18 school year.


Notificación del Plan de Ley Cada Estudiante es Exitoso de las Escuelas Públicas de Aurora [Every Student Succeeds Act Aurora Public Schools District Plan]

Por medio de la presente se notifica que el plan propuesto por el Distrito de las Escuelas Públicas de Aurora será publicado para comentarios durante 30 días, comenzando el día 15 de junio del 2017 y terminando el día 17 de julio del 2017.  Los comentarios pueden ser enviados a federalprograms@aps.k12.co.us.  

El plan ha sido presentado al Comité de Asesoría sobre Responsabilidad del Distrito [District Accountability Advisory Committee] y será presentado al Consejo Directivo de Educación el 6 de junio del 2017.

El plan propuesto será enviado al Departamento de Educación de Colorado [Colorado Department of Education] para su revisión y aprobación para el ciclo escolar 2017-18.
